The short version: BrickzVault does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device. No accounts required.
BrickzVault ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS application developed and operated by an individual developer. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
By using BrickzVault, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
BrickzVault is designed with a privacy-first approach. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:
All data created within BrickzVault is stored exclusively on your device and never leaves it except as described in Section 4.
To use BrickzVault, you provide your personal Rebrickable API key. This key is stored securely in the iOS Keychain on your device. It is never transmitted to BrickzVault servers (we have none), never stored in plain text, and never shared with any third party.
Your LEGO® sets, setlists, and preferences are cached locally on your device to enable offline access and fast loading. This data is sourced from the Rebrickable API and is not transmitted to any server operated by BrickzVault.
BrickzVault communicates directly with the Rebrickable API using your API key to retrieve set data, collection information, and setlists. This communication is between your device and Rebrickable's servers. BrickzVault does not intercept or store any data from these requests. Rebrickable's own privacy policy governs their data practices.
BrickzVault does not integrate any analytics frameworks (such as Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar), advertising networks, or third-party tracking libraries. There are no ads in the app, and there never will be.
The app runs on Apple's iOS platform. Apple may collect certain diagnostic and usage information as part of iOS in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy, which is independent of BrickzVault. You can control these settings in your iPhone's Privacy settings.
BrickzVault may request access to your device's camera or photo library solely to enable the box-scanning feature, which uses visual recognition to identify a LEGO® set number from the front of a box.
BrickzVault is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no personal data from any user, there is no additional risk specific to children.
Because BrickzVault does not transmit or store personal data on external servers, there is no server-side data to breach. Your Rebrickable API key is protected by the iOS Keychain, which uses hardware-level encryption on your device.
All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time by:
We retain no data on our end because we have no servers that hold your data.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Since BrickzVault does not collect or store personal data on any server, these rights are inherently fulfilled — there is nothing for us to access, modify, or delete on our side.
If you have questions or concerns, you can reach us at the contact below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
